Local BNP secy held in Kishoreganj

KISHOREGANJ, Aug 26 (UNB): Kishoreganj municipality Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary and leader of Paribahan Samity was arrested by the joint forces from Amati Mirpur Sunday.
Ismail Hossain Madhu who went into hiding since declaration of emergency in the country was picked up from a hideout in the afternoon.
After interrogation Madhu was handed over to the police.
The police said Madhu had long involved in terrorism, extortion, land grabbing and other criminal activities.
