MAGURA, May 29 (UNB): The by-election to Magura-1 constituency comprising of Sreepur and a part of Sadar upazila will be held today (Saturday).
The voting will begin at 8:00 am and continue until 4:00 pm without any break.
Four candidates, including ruling Awami League contender Maj Gen (retd) ATM Abdul Wahab with boat symbol, are contesting the election in the parliamentary seat No 91.The other candidates are independent contender former Magura municipality mayor Tapan Kumar Roy with 'lion' symbol, National People's Party's Kazi Touhidul Alam with 'mango' symbol and Bangladesh Nationalist Front's (BNF) Muntasim Billah with 'television' symbol.
