Masud Karim of the Daily Jugantor and Bashir Ahmed of the Daily Amar Desh were elected president and general secretary (GS) respectively of Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) Sunday for the year 2015, reports UNB.
The DCAB election and the annual general meeting were held at the National Press Club in the city where outgoing president Mainul Alam presided over the AGM.
Other elected office bearers of the 11-member executive committee are: vice president-- Angur Nahar Monty (Bhorer Kagoj), joint secretary-- Khurram Zaman (banglanews24.com), treasurer-- Rabiul Haque (Ajker Potrika) and office secretary-- AKM Moinuddin (UNB).
