Masud Uddin made HC to Australia

Lieutenant General Masud Uddin Chowdhury, who held very important posts in Bangladesh Army, has been appointed High Commissioner (HC) of Bangladesh to Australia, an official announcement said Tuesday, reports UNB.brOne of the prominent military figures during the present interim regime, General Masud was promoted to Lieutenant General from Major General last year and took over as Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division (AFD).brPreviously, he was in charge of the 9th Infantry Division in Savar when the state of emergency was declared on January 11, 2007.brLt Gen Masud was drafted from the Jatiyo Rakshi Bahini in 1975. He was appointed Counterintelligence Bureau chief at the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence by the previous BNP-led coalition government.brMasud was born on June 30, 1954 in Feni and commissioned in the Bangladesh Army on May 1, 1975.
