Minister for Relief and Disaster Management Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Bir Bikram, appealed to the government to withdraw the security cordon around Khaleda Zia, reports BSS.
Mr Maya, also general secretary of Dhaka city unit Awami League (AL), made the appeal while addressing a meeting of City AL at its Bangabandhu Avenue office Sunday.
He said: "I appeal to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to withdraw the security cordon around Khaleda Zia because she (Khaleda) has transformed BNP into a conspiracy box."
He said the way Khaleda Zia has made a hostage of the whole nation, the people are outraged at it and it will not be surprising if they attack her Gulshan office and take away its bricks, one-by-one.
The minister said: "Although Khaleda claims to be under siege, her leaders and workers are free to meet her and commit sabotage".
He said under directive of the prime minister, the 14-Party Alliance will form terrorism-resistance committees in every neighbourhood and ward.
Maya further announced the first such anti-terrorism rally will be held in Gabtoli bus terminal on January 20 in the constituency of Aslamul Haque, MP.
Speaking at the meeting Food Minister Kamrul Islam said  there could be no dialogue with terrorists.
He said the way the world is dealing with IS and Al-Qaeda, the government will also deal with its terrorists in the same way.
