Mayor Annisul to seek army\\\'s help now

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq said he will seek the army's help to prevent any further damage following the cave-in of a street at Karwan Bazar in the capital, reports bdnews24.com.

"I will seek the army's help. I'll involve them here now. The ministry has already cleared the proposal," he told reporters at the collapse site on Thursday.

The alley beside Hotel Sundarban and its boundary wall caved in on Wednesday, posing a threat to the hotel and adjacent areas. A part of the C R Dutta Road has also developed cracks due to the subsidence.
