Meghmallar Bosu, education and research secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra Union's central committee, has resigned from the organisation, reports bdnews24.com.
Bosu said on Saturday Main Ahmed, the organisation's vice-president, also stepped down alongside him.
"We have joined the Network for People's Action (NPA). It is not appropriate to remain on the policy-making forums of two organisations at the same time."
"So we have resigned from the Chhatra Union. We now want to work in the NPA." Bosu said.
Formed by youth activists involved in the July Uprising, the NPA is a newly launched political platform aiming to advance democratic transformation and social justice.
