A memorial meeting on Mirajul Islam Abbasi will be held at Jatiya Press Club on May 21, reports BSS.
Abbasi, a front-ranking leader during the anti-autocratic student movement from 1982 to 1990, died recently.
The decision on holding the memorial meeting was taken today at a discussion chaired by former DUCSU general secretary Mustaque Hossain. Held at Madhu's Canteen of Dhaka University, the meeting was addressed by former student leaders M A Aziz, Kamal Hossain Badal, Asadur Rahman Khan, Raju Ahmed, Zayed Iqbal Hossain and Syed Harun-ur-Rashid.
Besides, Chattra League president Hossain Ahmed Tafshir, Chhatra Moitri president Rafiqul Islam Sujon and Chhatra Union president Khan Asaduzzaman Masum, among others, also spoke, said a press release.
