Menon, Badsha elected chief, GS of WPB

RAJSHAHI, Apr 27 (BSS): Rashed Khan Menon, MP, and Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, were elected president and general secretary respectively of the 75-member central committee of the Workers Party of Bangladesh (WBP) on the closing day of the party's four-day 9th Congress here Sunday.

In an instant reaction, they declared to resist communalism, fundamentalism and imperialism in the country.

Menon, Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism, said the newly elected body will play pioneering role in uniting all the pro- liberation forces. Simultaneously, it will take forward Bangladesh to the path of development, he added.
