CHITTAGONG, Jul 26: Workers' Party president and senior leader of the grand alliance Rashed Khan Menon has warned the countrymen against voting for BNP-Jamaat in the national election stating that the country would see revival of militancy if the BNP and its anti-liberation partner Jamaat-e-Islami return to state power.
"The country will again see the revival of the militant and fanatic forces and they will take the country far backward if voted to power. So, be alert against those forces," he said.
The veteran left-leaning party leader was addressing a meeting of the party organised by its Chittagong district unit at Chittagong Press Club on Friday afternoon.
