USHTIA, Nov 21 (BSS): President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) and Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said here today that militancy, corruption, terrorism and politicisation should be resisted nationally.
"In guise of democracy none can walk hand-in-hand with communal forces in any way. They should be restrained and resisted for paving the way for democracy," the JSD president said while speaking as the chief guest at a largely attended public rally at Juniadah Porankhali Primary School ground under Bheramara Upazila in the district.
JSD leader and valiant freedom fighter Dr Abdul Hakim presided over the rally, also addressed, among others, by central convener of Nari Jote Afroza Haq Reena, District JSD general secretary Abdul Aleem Swapon, JSD central leaders Abdullah, Emdadul Islam Ata, SM Ansar Ali and Aslam Uddin.
Hasanul Haq Inu said, "Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal took to the streets to resist the anti-liberation forces of 1971, militants and terrorists and the party will remain on the streets for the purpose. JSD can't be backed out from its onward march."
He said, "JSD has expressed unity with the grand alliance government for protecting democracy by defeating the communal forces. JSD will stay beside Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to strengthen her hands."
Highlighting the successes of the present government in various sectors, the JSD president said the grand alliance government has been translating into reality the people's hopes and aspirations for transforming Bangladesh into a digital state with electrification to remote areas, construction of roads, bridges, culverts and e-services.
"The pace of development can't be thwarted by any programme of torching private and public properties in the name of farcical movement," Hasanul Haq Inu said adding that democracy and autocracy can never run together and for this reason, JSD has joined the grand alliance government to resist militancy together.
