SIRAJGANJ, Aug 23 (UNB): Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad
Nasim said on Saturday there might have been a military rule in the
country if the January-5 parliamentary elections could not be held.
He said this while distributing relief materials among the flood-affected people of remote char areas of Mochhra in Sadar upazila.
Democracy prevails in the country as people's franchise has been ensured with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's foresightedness Nasim said. adding that there will be no parliamentary polls in the country before 2019.
