Speakers at a roundtable in the city urged on Sunday the ministries concerned to work in a coordinated way to check human trafficking, reports UNB.
They came up with the call at a roundtable on 'Human Trafficking-Bangladesh Preparedness', organised by Centre for Non-Resident Bangladeshis (CNRB) at the National Press Club.Chaired by CNRB chairman SM Shekil Chowdhury, the roundtable was also addressed by Nur Khan, director (investigations) of Ain O Salish Kendra (ASK) and Refugee and Prof Tasneem Siddique, chairman of Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU).
Speaking on the occasion, ASK director Nur Khan said the ministries of Home, Law, Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Affairs failed to put forth a coordinated action programme against human trafficking.
