The parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Commerce Tuesday directed the ministry to table the "Consumer rights protection bill-2009" in the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) on March 29, reports BSS.
The second meeting of the committee held at the JS took the decision unanimously after reviewing the proposed law for protecting the consumers, a JS press release said.
The meeting also discussed the ways of providing legal protection for the consumers from harassment and cheating as their rights were not getting proper support from the existing laws.
