Mir Nasir sent to jail on surrender

A Dhaka court has sent to jail former state minister for Civil Aviation Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin in a graft case, reports BSS.

Ruhul Imran, Judge of Dhaka Special Judge Court-2, passed the order on Sunday as Nasiruddin, also the former mayor of Chattogram City Corporation, surrendered before the court and pleaded for bail in the case.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on March 6, 2007 filed the case with Gulshan thana against Mir Mohammad Nasiruddin and his son Mir Mohammad Helaluddin for amassing illegal wealth and concealing information about their properties.
