Miscreants strangle AL leader in Barguna

BARGUNA, Oct 27 (UNB): A local leader of Awami League was strangulated to death by miscreants at his house at Chalitatoli village in Sadar upazila early Saturday.

The deceased is Khalilur Rahman Mollah, 65, senior vice-president of AL Sadar upazila unit.

S M Masuduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said some unidentified miscreants, including a woman, entered the house of Khalilur digging a hole from outside around 2am and tied up Khalilur and his wife. Later, they strangulated him to death.
