CHITTAGONG, Apr 16: Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation ABM Mohiuddin demanded trial of war criminals of 1971 and said otherwise history would not forgive us. He also called for annihilating those who were plotting to foil the trial of war criminals.
He was addressing a public meeting at Laldighi Moidan in the city organised by Samajik Audhikar Raksha Andolan (social rights protection movement) Tuesday last.
The mayor said he would announce a list of 500 war criminals who committed crimes themselves and helped the Pakistani regime against humanity in Chittagong during the nine-month war.
The meeting was addressed, among others, by Chittagong University VC Abu Yusuf, Premier University VC Anupam Sen and former MP Kafiluddin.
