Law Minister Anisul Haq said on Thursday more International Crimes Tribunals (ICTs) will be constituted if the number of war crimes cases increases, reports UNB.

"One of the two International Crimes Tribunals (ICTs) has been made non-functional as the number of such cases has come down…if the number of such cases rises, it'll be made functional again and more ICTs will be constituted, if necessary," he told a press briefing at his ministry.

"The ICTs will be there until the war crimes trials are over. Right now, one tribunal can deal with the present war crimes cases," the minister said.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the Law Ministry issued a gazette notification making one of the two ICTs non-functional amid fall in the number of war crimes cases.
