The High Court (HC) has granted anticipatory bail to BNP leader and former health minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain in a money laundering case, reports bdnews24.com.
The bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Zafar Ahmed granted bail for six weeks Monday after the BNP leader surrendered in court.
Another BNP leader, Barrister Moudud Ahmed argued for Mosharraf while Additional Attorney General Md Momtajuddin Fakir stood for the state.
On Feb 6, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Director Nasim Anwar filed the case against the BNP leader under the Money Laundering Prevention Act with the Ramna police.
