COMILLA, July 3 (UNB): Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal urged on Friday all to engage in healthy politics shunning the politics of violence.
"There's no acceptability of vandalism and arson policy in politics. Politics and destruction could not move ahead at the same time," he said.
The Planning Minister was addressing a function, marking the opening of electricity connections to some 3,183 rural clients at his constituency, Comilla-11 (Nangalkot-Sadar Dakkhin).
Expressing his delight as Bangladesh has been graduated to a lower mid-income country from a lower one, the elated minister said the country has achieved the feat within the stipulated timeframe and there is a need for a political change to get better outcome from it.
"All would have to refrain from creating chaos and anarchy which was seen in the recent past. All of us would have to engage in planned politics so that the politics of violence and vengeance doesn't reemerge in the country," he added.
He also gave full credit to the abled leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, saying people of all walks of life, including farmers, labourers and teachers could lead the country to a lower mid-income one for this.
While inaugurating the power connections at Mokra, the Planning Minister said not only his own constituency, power connections would reach each and every village of the country.
