National Awami Party-NAP-(Bhasani) Saturday called for deferring the proposed 18 December parliament to hasten the trials of corruption suspects, reports BSS.
"We want trial of the corrupt persons first and then the election as the participation of looters in polls will bring no benefit to the people," NAP Chairman Mustaq Ahmed Bhasani told a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club in the city.
Party leaders Abdur Rouf Ahmed Bhasani, Abdus Sattar and Monir Hossain, among others, were present on the occasion.
