Narayanganj burn victim dies at DMCH

NARAYANGANJ, Mar 16 (UNB): A young man who suffered burn injury in afire that erupted following an explosion at an NGO office at Fatullahin Sadar upazila on Sunday, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospitalhere on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nasir (30).
Medical sources said Nasir died in the morning.
Five people including Nasir suffered burn injures as the blast tookplace at the Society for Social Service Office on the ground floor of a four-storey building at Panchabati around 7:00 pm while some electrical servicing was going on there.
Soon after the explosion, the fire spread across the flat through thegas pipeline.
The fire left electricity mechanics Nasir and Alam, and NGO officials Arman Faruk, Alim and Omar with serious burn injuries.
The injured were first taken to a local hospital from where they were shifted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital in the capital.
Sub-inspector Amir Hossain of Fatullah Model Police Station said local people had doused the fire before the firefighters reached the spot.
