Naser Rahman sent to jail after 5-day remand

Former Bangladesh Nationa-list Party (BNP) lawmaker Naser Rahman, son of former finance minister M Saifur Rahman, was sent to jail Wednesday after a five-day remand in a corruption case, reports bdnews24.com.
The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's (CMM) court for Dhaka ordered him into jail as investigating officer Golam Shahrier Chowdhury, a deputy director of the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC), did not appeal for further remand.
CMM Magistrate Mizanur Rahman passed the order.
