In the wake of BNP's frequent threats to wage an anti-government movement, Health Minister Mohammed Nasim Saturday said the game will be held in the political field where the winners and losers will be determined clearly, reports UNB.

"Begum Khaleda Zia has declared that she'll wage a movement to oust the government after Eid-ul Fitar, but that Eid would never come to Bangladesh," he said.

Nasim, also a presidium member of the ruling Awami league (AL), said this while addressing a discussion organised by Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) marking the birthday of Sheikh Kamal and Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib at the Sufia Kamal Public Library auditorium.

Criticising Khaleda, Nasim said she dashed her own fate and tainted the country's image. "Khaleda has taken her party to the verge of destruction," he said.

Presided over by BCL president HM Bodiuzzaman Shohagh, the programme was attended, among others, by Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique and BCL secretary Siddique Nazmul Alam.

BSS adds: Mohammad Nasim urged the doctors across the country to give free treatment on August 15 showing their respect to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

"If you (doctors) love Bangabandhu and have respect for him then serve (medical treatments) poor people out of cost at least for two hours on the death anniversary on August 15 and on the birth anniversary on March 17 of Bangabandhu."

Requesting the private practitioners and the owners of private clinics, the minister said, "We have to materialise the dream of Bangabandhu by serving  the people with our work forces."
