Nepal, the host of the upcoming SAARC Summit, has sought prompt inputs from the SAARC member states for the declaration and other agenda for the summit which the Nepalese government has already circulated, reports UNB.

The Himalayan country also urged the diplomats of the member states based in Kathmandu to provide the details of the size of the delegations for the summit as early as possible so that the Nepalese government could make necessary arrangements beforehand, said an official in Dhaka.

The four-stage 18th summit will begin on November 22 and conclude on November 27.

The summit will be preceded by the thirty-sixth session of the SAARC Council of Ministers on November 25, the forty-first session of the standing committee on November 23-24, and the forty-sixth session of the programming committee on November 22.

The SAARC summit, led by the heads of state and government of the member states, will be held at Rastriya Sabha Griha (The City Hall), Pradarshani Marg, Kathmandu on November 26-27, according to the Nepal Foreign Ministry.

The theme of the summit is 'Deeper Integration for Peace and Prosperity'.

Meanwhile, Nepal's Foreign Minister Mahendra Bahadur Panday, on behalf of Nepalese Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, on Thursday extended an invitation to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to participate in the 18th Saarc Summit.
