December 12, 2014 00:00:00

The International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1) was highly critical Thursday of the eligibility of documents and investigation into the case before taking cognisance of the charges made against detained war crimes suspects Obaidul Haque alias Taher and Ataur Rahman alias Noni of Netrakona, reports UNB.

The three-member tribunal, headed by Justice M Enayetur Rahim, set January 7, 2015 for hearing on the charge framing.

Earlier, the tribunal had taken serious note of it when prosecutor Mukhlesur Rahman Badal while placing the formal charges made an exercise to confirm the elements of the offences levelled against the two accused as proposed by the prosecution, referring to some documents collected by the investigation officer.
