New CJ to take oath Sept 26

Justice Obaidul Hassan, who was appointed as the 24th Chief Justice of Bangladesh, will take oath on September 26, reports UNB.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin will administer the oath at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban at 11am.

A notification signed by The Supreme Court Registrar General's Office and Protocol Officer of the President's Office Muhammad Mamunul Haque revealed the information on Thursday.

Earlier, on September 12, Justice Obaidul Hassan of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court was appointed as the chief justice of the country.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin appointed him as the country's 24th chief justice.
