CHATTOGRAM, Nov 05: Chattogram City Corporation's (CCC) new Mayor and BNP leader Dr Shahadat Hossain has said he wanted to build a green and clean city.
"Chattogram will be a green, clean, and healthy city. Please give me some time. I want your prayers and love. You are always deep in my heart," he told a reception organised by the leaders and activists of BNP's Chattogram unit at Chattogram Railway Station.
Addressing Tuesday's reception, Shahadat said, "I want to be with seven million people as a city servant, not its father." He said "Chattogram has seven million people. The people are the owner of the city.”
