New PW testifies in case against three alleged Razakars

A new prosecution witness (PW) at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 testified Wednesday in the trial of Sheikh Sirajul Haque alias Siraj Master, Khan Akram Hossain and Abdul Latif Talukder, alleged Razakar trio from Bagerhat, reports BSS.
Nandalal Das, son of Martyr Nishikanta Das, submitted his deposition as PW6. The witness corroborated the earlier PWs and that is why the defence too declined to cross-examine him. After that the tribunal adjourned the hearing until Sunday.
The tribunal on November 5 indicted the trio on seven counts of crimes against humanity including genocide, murder, abduction, confinement and torture.
According to the prosecution, the accused had taken training under Pakistan occupation army in Khulna Ansar Camp and set up Razakar camps in different areas of Bagerhat. Subsequently, they carried out killings, genocide, rape, lootings, arson, forced conversion from those camps.
