N\\\'ganj 7-murder CID withdrawn from probe

Overturning the High Court (HC) orders, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has allowed a government plea that sought to withdraw the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) from the ongoing investigation into the sensational seven-murder case in Narayanganj, reports UNB.

The apex court order came Monday while disposing of the government petition. Earlier, on May 5, the High Court in a suo moto order asked CID to conduct a shadow investigation into the incident alongside the Detective Branch (DB).
