India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also trying to trace Jam'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) activists Salauddin Salehin alias Sunny and Jahidul Islam alias Boma Mizan, reports bdnews24.com
The two were among the three snatched by a large group of armed men from a prison van in a Hollywood-style hold-up in February this year on a highway at Mymensingh's Trishal Upazila.
The NIA is also looking for the suspected mastermind behind the ambush, Faruk Hossain.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch Joint Commissioner Monirul Islam told reporters on Tuesday that the NIA's list of suspects given to Bangladesh includes these names.
The Bangladesh authorities are yet to trace them.
The four-member NIA delegation, led by its Director General, Sharad Kumar, and the six-member Bangladesh team, headed by the home ministry's Additional Secretary Kamal Uddin Ahmed, held a meeting at the Police Headquarters on Tuesday.
Islam said after the meeting that police were 'almost certain' that Bangladesh national Sheikh Rahmatulla Sajid and Narayanganj's Masum Miah were the same person.
