Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal will pay a three-day visit to Bangladesh from today (Thursday).  
This will be Nisha Desai Biswal's second visit to Bangladesh. She visited the country soon after taking over as Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs on October 21, 2013.
The US Embassy's Public Affairs Section said during the three-day trip, Nisha Biswal will hold meetings with high-level Bangladesh government officials, labour, RMG sector and business community leaders and opposition party leaders.  
In addition to her activities in Dhaka, she will also visit Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT) in Gazipur.  She will leave Dhaka on November 29.  
As Assistant Secretary, Nisha Desai Biawal oversees U.S. foreign policy with India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Maldives, Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
