No AL choice yet on NCC polls candidate

Despite holding separate meetings with two candidates, Shamim Osman and Selina Hayat Ivy, the ruling Awami League (AL) on Sunday could not decide to whom it would actually extend its support for contesting the upcoming Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) election.
After the meetings, AL leader Mahbub-Ul-Alam Hanif told reporters that the party will announce its decision on October 12, the last date for withdrawal of candidature, after reviewing their credentials and conduct.
