An Awami League (AL) senior leader said there is no scope to go beyond the constitution for a polls-time government, reports BSS.
"BNP can give a framework for an election-time government but there is no scope to go beyond the constitution," he said.
AL publicity and publication secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud made the comments while speaking at a discussion organised by Swadhinata Parishad at the Dhaka Reporters Unity auditorium in the city.
Hasan, also an AL spokesman, said BNP has turned into a 'toothless venomous snake' after the party failed to prevent the previous parliament
election.
He said BNP should observe January 5 as a 'day of suicide', adding if the party again wants to foil the next election, their acts of killing themselves will go to the peak.
