\\\'No scope to raise any question about war crimes trial’

MADARIPUR, Apr 10 (BSS): Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan said the United Nations has no scope of raising any question about the standard of the war crimes trial.
The minister said, "The trial of those who committed crimes against humanity would be held as per the law of the land and there is no scope for the Human Rights Commission Wing of the United Nations to raise any question about it."
The Shipping Minister said this while talking to journalists after visiting a park in Puran Bazar area of the district in the morning.
The minister said the BNP laid emphasis on holding fair trial of the war criminals maintaining international standard. He further said none has so far raised any question about the trial.
About the road accident that took place on Wednesday night at Bhanga, the minister said road crashes have come down to below hundred compared to 2012 when more than 500 accidents took place. He said road accidents occur as there are a number of curves and bends on the roads of Faridpur and Madaripur areas.
He, however, expressed the hope that the incidents of road accidents will come down.
