The National People's Party (NPP) on Saturday urged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to engage in dialogue with all political parties to hold an inclusive and acceptable national election, reports UNB.
"In any political consideration, we think, the January-5 elections held in 2014 were not acceptable. We urge the head of the government to hold dialogue with all political parties for an acceptable election," the NPP said in a joint statement.  NPP chairperson Showkat Hossain Nilu and secretary general Abdul Hai Mondol in the statement urged political parties to reach a consensus on an election-time government for holding the next election.  They also expressed dissatisfaction over media reports centring the coming January 5 what they think is creating panic in public minds.
