Obaidul Kader barred from leaving the country

Awami League (AL) leader Obaidul Kader, now out of jail on bail, was Saturday debarred from leaving the country for India for medical treatment, reports UNB.
Awami League sources said he was scheduled to leave for New Delhi via Kolkata by a Jet Airlines flight at 9:30 am for the treatment.
As he reached the ZIA, security officials stopped him from taking the flight on the plea of having instruction from higher authorities, the sources said.
