NARAYANGANJ, June 8 (UNB): A court fixed on Monday July 8 for order after hearing the naraji (no-confidence) petition in connection with the sensational seven- murder case.

Selina Islam Beauty, the widow of slain Narayanganj City Corporation panel mayor Nazrul Islam filed the petition against the charge-sheet.

Senior Judicial Magistrate HM Shafiqul Islam fixed the date after hearing the plea in presence of 35 accused, including three sacked RAB officials --Lt Col Tareque Sayeed Mohammad, Major Arif Hossain and Lt Commander MM Rana, at the courtroom.

President of Narayanganj Bar Association and Selina's lawyer Sakhawat Hossain said Selina Islam filed the naraji petition expressing her dissatisfaction over the exclusion of the names of five FIR-enlisted accused from the charge-sheet on May 11. "During the hearing, we presented our arguments in support of the no-confidence petition," he said.

Additional PP Fazlur Rahman, who stood for the state, said they applied to the court to reject the no-confidence petition.
