\\\'Ordinary people no more owners of country\\\'

JESSORE, May 18:  Information commissioner Dr Sadeka Halim said ordinary people of the country are no more owners of the country.  Journalists should play role in establishing right to information for the people. Criticising the ICT Act, the information commissioner said that she could not be arrested by an SI for writing a blog post.

The information commission so far received a total of 571 complaints until 2014 since 2010, she said.

The information commissioner was speaking at a training programme on right to information act 2009 held at the Jessore Collectorate Conference Room  Saturday afternoon.
