A cheating case was filed Thursday against Obaidul Karim, owner of the Orion Group, with Gulshan thana, reports UNB.
Shafiullah, a resident of Nawaberbagh under Shah Ali thana, filed the case against him at about 1:00 pm accusing Karim of forging the deed of his land measuring 2.02 acres and drew Tk 150 million (15 crore) from the City Bank showing the forged deed about two years ago.
Karim is facing a number of criminal cases, including the Jatrabari fly over case along with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leaders Haris Chowdhury and Ashraf Hossain.
