Outlawed party leader arrested in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, Nov 18 (UNB): Detective Branch (DB) of the police in a drive arrested a regional leader of an outlawed party from a field at Ramnagar Kalabari village in Damurhuda Upazila Thursday night. The arrestee was identified as Kitab Ali alias Kosai Kitab (40), a regional leader of Purbo Banglar Communist Party and son of Jinnat Ali of the village. Ziaur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of district DB said being tipped-off, a team of DB conducted the drive at the village and arrested Kitab at around 8:15pm. The police said Kitab was wanted in a number of cases including four of murder.
