Package programme for dev of Sylhet announced

Adviser for Foreign Affairs Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury Saturday said the government has announced a 12-point package programme for the overall development of greater Sylhet, reports BSS.
He said the announcement was made at the meeting of the council of advisers held in Sylhet with Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed in the chair on July 21 last.
The Foreign Adviser said this while addressing as the chief guest the annual general meeting-2007 of Jalalabad Association, Dhaka at the BIAM auditorium.
Adviser for Primary and Mass Education Rasheda K Choudhury addressed the meeting as special guest while president of Jalalabad Association Syed Abdul Muktadir was in the chair.
Former lawmaker Sultan Mohammad Mansur Ahmed, former foreign secretary Syed Muazzem Ali, former finance secretary Siddiqur Rahman Choudhury, former commerce secretary Suhel Ahmed Chowdhury, former president of the Association Abdul Malek, among others, addressed the AGM.
