A Dhaka court has showed former state minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak and former Awami League (AL) lawmaker from Dhaka-5 constituency Kazi Monirul Islam Monu arrested in a case lodged over the murder of one Fardi Ahammed in the capital's Jatrabari area during the July-August mass uprising, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Zia Uddin Ahmed passed the order on Wednesday as police produced the duo before the court and pleaded to show them arrested in the case.
According to the case documents, Farid joined an anti-discrimination rally on Hanif Flyover in Jatrabari area on August 5, 2024. He suddenly got shot and was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the next day.
