Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman and former lawmaker Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho on Friday said he had stated in parliament nearly 15 years ago that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman would return to the country and the people of Bangladesh would decide his
political future, reports BSS.
In a recent post on social media platform 'Facebook', Partho said BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has now returned to Bangladesh after 17 years.
Recalling his statement in parliament, he said it was not easy to make such a remark in front of the then prime minister, adding that it was neither a calculation nor a prediction but an expression of his firm belief.
He further said he believed the political future of a popular leader like Tarique Rahman could not be determined by a judicial pen stroke, but by the will of Allah and the people at the right time.
Partho congratulated Tarique Rahman, BNP leaders and activists, and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of his return to national politics.
