PCJSS man hurt in armed attack

RANAGMATI, Apr 24: An activist of Parbattya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS) was wounded when the armed men of anti-peace United Peoples Democratic Front (UPDF) allegedly shot him at Chakrapara in the town Friday night.
The injured person is Jyotirmoy Chakma, 19, son of Moniraj Chakma of village Chakrapara in the town.
Sources said a group of UPDF men equipped with firearms came to the Chakrapara at night and picked up two supporters of PCJSS --Jyotirmoy and Rupayan Chakma. But the UPDF men fired at them when the two were fleeing from their hands. Though Rupayan was managed to escape unhurt but Jyotirmoy received bullets wound.
He was sent to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital yesterday when his condition was deteriorating, sources said.
