Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina strongly condemned on Saturday the terrorist attack at a gas factory near the city of Lyon in France where one person was found decapitated and an explosion took place on Friday, reports BSS.
"This dastardly attack again shows the brutal force of the terrorists that must be destroyed completely with the united efforts of civilised humanity," she said in a message sent to French President Francois Hollande.
The PM reiterated that the people of Bangladesh firmly stand by the friendly people of France in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism of any kind.
"We express our deepest condolence and heartfelt sympathy to you and the people of France and particularly to the near and dear ones of the victim of the terrorist attack," she said.
Sheikh Hasina also reaffirmed her government's policy of zero tolerance against terrorism and extremism. "We the civilised, democratic and secular peoples of the world will continue our fight against the evils of terror who must be identified only as terrorists irrespective of their colour, race or religion," she said.
Two people were hurt in the blast at the US-owned factory in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, about 30 kilometres outside of Lyon.
