PM condoles death of Prof Hamida

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina Saturday expressed deep shock at the death of Prof Hamida Khanam, a former principal of Home Economics College, reports BSS. Hearing the death news of Prof Khanam, the PM visited the Banani residence of the deceased Saturday morning to have a last glimpse of her. Sheikh Hasina stayed there for some time and consoled the bereaved family members. She offered munajat seeking eternal peace of the departed soul. Prof Khanam, wife of Dr Salauddin Ahmed, president of Executive Advisory Committee of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum, died of old-age complications at a city hospital Friday night. She was 88.
