PM meets President ahead of US tour

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina made on Tuesday a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban, reports UNB.

During the meeting, the PM  apprised the President of her probable programmes in the 70th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), President's press secretary Joynal Abedin told the news agency after the meeting.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina leaves Dhaka  for New York on Wednesday morning on an eight-day official visit to the United States to attend the UNGA.

Hasina conveyed the President Eid greetings in advance as she will be in the USA during the Eid-ul-Azha.
