Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received the annual audit report on spending from the state coffers from Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Ahmed Ataul Hakeem at the Prime Minister's Office in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister underscored the need for boosting the activities of parliamentary standing committees 'to ensure transparency and accountability in maintaining government accounts'.
Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office Mollah Waheeduzzaman and Prime Minister's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad were also present on the occasion.
