PM visits late AL leader Fazlur Rahman\\\'s house

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina visited the residence of late Awami League (AL) Dhaka city unit leader Fazlur Rahman Razu at Kolabagan in the capital Friday morning to pay her last respect to him, reports UNB.

The PM stood beside the body of Razu for some time as a mark of respect to his memory.

She offered Munajat seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Razu, who was a close associate of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Sheikh Hasina later talked to the family members of the deceased and consoled them.

Local parliament member Barrister Sheikh Fazley Noor Taposh, PM's Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhury, AL Information and Research Secretary Advocate Afzal Hussain and local AL leaders were present on the occasion.

Razu, vice-president of Dhaka City AL and a valiant freedom fighter, died of cancer at Square Hospital on Wednesday at the age of 72.
